Lee's Story
Sharing the same birthday as another famous Washington (Denzel), Lee’s athletic lifestyle made him an easy winner of first place in his first ever bodybuilding competition.
That led to his first signing with Modelogic in Richmond, VA. – a relationship that would lead to print and commercial work for companies like Virginia T-Shirts, Rosetta Stone, Sears, and Dominion Power.
From there, he moved on to cultivate a taste for production, working on both sides of the camera. When he wasn’t able to find the right photographers for the looks he wanted, Washington started to purchase his own equipment and find those perfect shots for himself.
Collaborating with other artists with the same drive for excellence, Lee’s first foray into film was the independent horror movie, “House Hunting” – but most recently produced “In Transit” for Cinema Ace Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video. After a move from Richmond to Boston, Lee was signed to The Maggie Agency with only two looks in his portfolio (athletic shots as the first test subject for Tim Coburn).
That partnership – and those powerful pictures – led to a strong array of work for sports companies after that (Reebok, Puma, Saucony, Citysports, to name a few). Since then, Washington has found representation in some of the best agencies in the nation, including Directions USA. He lives a nomadic lifestyle he loves, even traveling to places like Hawaii and the Bahamas to work on tourism campaigns. In what felt like a repeat of winning that first bodybuilding competition, Washington recently booked the very first commercial he ever auditioned for: a national spot for Amtrak. Now, as his career rises and broadens its scope, he’s looking for even more influencers to create with. Lee is eager to find more ways to use his own equipment and imagination to find whatever opportunity he can to showcase his vision – be it YouTube, TikTok, and beyond.
Perhaps that next collaborator could be you.
